This week I ventured down to Melbourne with some family for a girls Tennis trip. After a not so great start – loosing my phone after leaving it on the plane – we jumped into a taxi and were on our way to the city, staying at Southbank!
Having only been to Melbourne when I was younger, I was forced to be that ‘typical tourist’ with my map out in front of me and somehow still managing to get lost. Although I admit that getting lost was entirely our fault and Melbourne is in fact very easy to navigate around, they just need to make it more clear that there is a Brunswick ROAD and a Brunswick STREET haha!
The free trams made it super easy for us to travel to the Tennis and back each time from Southbank. Despite the crowds, the Tennis proved to be well worth the travel, especially if you were lucky enough to see an Aussie. You can’t really beat the atmosphere of it all when you are at home. And I have say Federer was a massive highlight :)
Down every side street and lane way, Melbourne is full of endless amounts of shopping, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars. It is a unique metropolitan city, sporting a trendy atmosphere and culture!
